MediTalent are recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider in London for a qualified Paediatric Community Nurse. You will be delivering effective and high-quality paediatric nursing care to young patients ensuring their needs are promptly met within your assigned community. As this is a regional role travelling to visit patients in their home setting, it is crucial that you have full UK driving licence.
As this is a mobile role, candidates are required to hold a full UK driving licence.
The right candidate should be NMC/HCPC and Sick Children's Nursing registered, you must also be competent in the administration of IV therapies and cannulation. In this rile you will be treating patients with a wide range of conditions including growth hormone and biologic treatments for conditions such as juvenile arthritis, Crohn's disease, and psoriasis.
Skills required:
- NMC/HCPC and Sick Children's Nursing registration
- Competent in administration of IV therapies and cannulation
- Experience in an acute care setting post registration including some time taking independent clinical decisions and supervising the work of others
- Delivering patient care in patients own homes according to an agreed programme of care and care plan
- To safely administer a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to NHS project and training
- Strong understanding of therapies and drugs relevant to service offering, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions.
- Pays close attention to detail and follows rules and protocols, quality oriented.
- Strong communication skills, including actively listening, communicating sensitively, putting people at ease, and making technical details easy to understand
