Position: Cardiac Echocardiogram Sonographer
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: Up to £50,000 Per Annum (Dependent on experience)
Hours: Part-Time - 2 days per week - alternating Thursday + Friday / Tuesday + Wednesday each week
Contract: Permanent / Part Time

Due to expansion, the team are seeking a skilled Cardiac Echocardiogram Sonographer to join the award-winning Cardiology Team on a part-time basis. The team recently received the prestigious Exemplar award for exceptional focus on patient experience, dignity, safety, effectiveness, and clinical innovation.

The department utilizes the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology, providing advanced treatments across a variety of specialist areas, including screening, rehabilitation, and cutting-edge surgical procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working in a state-of-the-art department, you will be using GE scanners and an online platform for reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing cardiac sonography investigations for adult and adolescent patients in line with BSE guidance.
  • Assessing patients' health and wellbeing across complex and varying cases.
  • Contributing to the implementation of new cardiac services.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Utilizing technology for measurement, monitoring, and treatment.
  • Understanding and mitigating the risks of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI).

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • Completion of BSE
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a registered echocardiographer
  • BSE registration
  • Proficiency in scanning adults, with the ability to scan adolescent patients being highly desirable
