Position Overview:

As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with cardiovascular diseases. You'll collaborate closely with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of physiologists, scientists, nurses, consultants, surgeons, porters, managers, and administrators, all while reporting directly to our Lead Cardiac Physiologists.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a qualified Senior Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in one or more of the following areas: intervention, CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management), or EP (Electrophysiology). You should also possess a solid foundation in general clinical skills, along with experience in non-invasive and invasive cardiology. Your responsibilities will include conducting various diagnostic tests, such as 12-lead ECGs, ECG holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing. In the CRM domain, you will independently follow up and closely monitor a range of pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and perform remote follow-ups. For Invasive Cardiology, your duties will encompass angiograms, right heart catheters, coronary interventions, and percutaneous valvular implants. In the CRM lab, you will either solo implant pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices or specialize in EP/Ablation studies.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent science-based degree with relevant departmental experience.
  • HCPC Clinical Scientist registration
  • Proficiency in a wide range of invasive and non-invasive techniques, including CRM complex ppm/ICD/CRT device follow-up, and assessment and therapy provision for cardiac patients.
  • Solo proficiency in all aspects of Non-Invasive Cardiology and specialization in either intervention with solo CRM implants or EP studies/ablation.
  • Familiarity with EPIC, Pace Art, GE holters, GE cardiosoft exercise software, GE haemodynamic Siemens Sensis, and EP GE Cardiolab (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of various pacemaker programmer manufacturers (Desirable).
  • Technical skills enabling measurement and analysis of physiological parameters.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Life Support (ILS/ALS).
