Position: Theatre Nurse - (ophthalmology) - Training provided
Location: Cambridge
Pay: up to £35,000 plus paid enhancements and benefits
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week) - daytime shifts only (no night!) occasional Saturdays
Contract: Permanent
MediTalent Group are recruiting on behalf of a leading ophthalmology specialist for a theatre nurse to work within one of their clinics in the Cambridge area. The role will involve working within day surgery theatres, where eye operations and procedures will take place. You will assist with scrubbing and recovery as well as some other nursing duties including pre assessment and discharge of patients - if you have experience in either of these then great! If not, do not worry as full training will be given!
Part of the role will involve travelling too, and working at other clinics in Birmingham and Nottingham areas - all travel arrangements and cost will be covered by the company
The ideal candidate will hold a valid NMC pin number with no restrictions, have strong communication skills, be willing to travel to other sites and a keen interest in theatre work. No sponsorship/visa candidates accepted for this position.
What you need
- Valid NMC or HCPC Pin
- Previous theatre experience - Scrub essential
- Ophthalmic experience desirable although not essential as training is provided
